Family Day: August 17, 2025

• Family Day will take place on August 17, 2025 at Carowinds.

• Theme Park:  10:00am – 8:00pm
• Water Park:  11:00am – 6:00pm

•  BMW Associates and Contractors working 30 or more hours per week, whose primary job responsibilities are performed on-site at Plant Spartanburg, as designated by their host department.
•  If you are a Service Provider, your host department is responsible for determining whether you meet the 30+ hour on-site requirement at Plant Spartanburg. Each department must submit a list of eligible Service Providers by the agreed-upon deadlines.

•  Registration is open from Tuesday, July 15 – Friday, August 8.

• If you are required to work at BMW and unable to attend Family Day on August 17, please DO NOT register yourself or your family for Family Day tickets when registration opens on July 15. Your manager will submit your information at a later date, and we will share “wish you were here” registration details with you after the event.

•  BMW Associates will receive park tickets for themselves and their eligible dependents who are age three (3) or older and listed as eligible for benefits.
•   Associates with no eligible dependents will receive a ticket for themselves and one (1) guest.
•   To participate, associates will need to add their eligible spouse and/or children to their associate record and provide proof of their relationship.

•   Team10 Badge holders (Contractors & approved Service Providers) will receive two (2) tickets.
•  Service Providers must provide their company name & technology/department code to register.
•  All Team10 Members may purchase up to four (4) additional tickets for $57.71 each, which includes admission, one (1) meal voucher and parking.
•  All ages are welcome for this event. Children two (2) and under do not require a ticket or meal voucher. Children three (3) and above require a ticket.
•  Season Passes and Fast Passes to Carowinds are NOT honored on this day

•  Each ticket includes park admission, one (1) meal voucher, and parking.

• Hours are 11:00am – 4:00pm.
• Once you leave, you may not return for more food.

•   If you receive an error, you have added more tickets than you are eligible to receive. Please send an email to BMWFamilyDay@bmwmc.com indicating the issue you are experiencing, and we will respond with next steps. Please do not send multiple emails and be sure to provide your name, company, badge number, and detailed information about the issue you are experiencing.

• We encourage everyone to register during the time of open registration. If you absolutely cannot register during this time, please contact  BMWFamilyDay@bmwmc.com to make arrangements. Please do not send multiple emails and be sure to provide your name, company, badge number, and detailed information about the issue you are experiencing.  

• Utilizing the Carowinds Ticket Store will generate electronic tickets to your email. You may print those tickets, and your eligible dependents may use their tickets to access the park in your absence with a photo ID.

•   All attendees must bring their electronic or printed ticket and a photo ID to access the park. We also recommend  that you bring sunscreen. 

Your eligible dependents are defined as follows: 

1. Your spouse is your lawful partner in a marriage, civil marriage, or common-law marriage as legally recognized by the State of South Carolina or any other state or territory in the United States. If your spouse is also a BMW Manufacturing Associate, he or she is eligible for coverage as an Associate, not a dependent.  Your children may be covered under only one parent plan;

2. Your eligible child (as defined below), to the end of the month in which he/she turns age 26, regardless of whether the child is married, a full-time student or is dependent on you for financial support; 

3. A child who is on a physician-approved, medically necessary leave of absence; 

4. An incapacitated dependent, who is generally your child age 26 or older who cannot support himself or herself because of a mental or physical disability, was enrolled in the Plan prior to his/her incapacity, and the incapacity began prior to his or her 26th birthday. The covered dependent must provide physician’s statement of disability and upon periodic request by the Plan.

o  You will be contacted with further information. Please note: Any approved additions to your “dependents” for Family Day 2025 will be for this event only and will not/does not affect your current BMW Manufacturing  benefits/insurance program.

• You will need to login or contact WEX to complete a Carowinds Add Dependent Life Event.
• Once the dependent verification documents are provided and approved, the dependent will be verified and included for your Carowinds tickets family count.
